Can you believe spring is next week? I know we probably all say this every year, but I can’t believe how fast time is flying by. Well, since we’re here, spring is the perfect time to reset. We are used to the term spring cleaning for getting our home in order, but what about everything else? This spring reset, try focusing on cleansing your mind, body, and home.
Mind
Clear your mind. A couple ways to do this is to:
- Be conscious of your thoughts. Our thoughts determine our attitude, actions, and results.
- Practice meditation. If meditating is new to you, try 10-15 minutes at a time, a few days a week. See the difference in how it makes you feel, how you manage stress, and connect with yourself. The Calm app has beginner guided meditations in the categories of confidence, happiness, and gratitude.
-
Braindump. Those ideas you’ve been sitting on, your summer bucket list, home projects, get them out of your head and put it on paper. You can also do this with your thoughts and feelings in a journal.

Body
-
Daily movement. Commit to moving at least 30 min a day. A game changer for me has been walking. I used to walk about 4-5 times a week during the pandemic, while baby wearing! Now I wear ankle weights and only go about twice a week, but I also go to spin class and pilates. Find what works for you, whether it’s walking, an at home workout, gym or a fitness class. Your body will thank you later.
-
Water intake. This is an area for me that consistently needs improvement. I’ve tried time stamped water bottles, and fruit infused water. The water bottle definitely keeps me on track, I just need to be consistent. I know we all know the benefits of drinking water so I won’t even get into that.
-
Have you ever tried a juice cleanse? I usually do these 1-2 times a year, but the timing is usually very random or whenever my body feels like it needs it. I’m now thinking about doing a juice cleanse as a part of my spring reset. Anybody what to join me? My favorite 3-day juice is documented from beginning to end in this video.

Home
-
Closets and drawers. As much as we may dread cleaning out our closets, there’s nothing like a well organized closet. Here are 8 tips for spring cleaning your closet like a pro!
-
Update the scents and decor in your home. I love candles! I change them often throughout the year based on season and scents. My favorite candle for spring is Me Time by TorchLA.
- Update a room in your house. Personally, I’m thinking about doing a bathroom or kitchen refresh. Nothing too much, maybe change the colors of the towels and rug to bring a spring vibe.
