About Us

I began my natural hair journey in 2010.  As a little girl, I had a relaxer and wore my hair in ponytails. In my pre-teen years, ponytails progressed to straight hair. It wasn’t until I was 16 that I realized I had curly hair.  But, I still had a relaxer, so this was relaxed curly hair. One day in my early 20s, I was long overdue for a relaxer touch up and noticed something beautiful forming at the roots of my hair.  It was my natural curl pattern.  I decided to embrace my natural curls and transition to my natural hair journey.  

Always promoting self-love, positivity, and empowerment, I had an idea to create something special for curlies to proudly rock their curls with confidence.  In 2017, I launched Curls and Confidence t-shirts, alongside Flaunt It, Flaws and All.  The collection now includes sweatshirts as well.

Now as a mom of a beautiful 3 year old little girl, the Curls and Confidence brand is even more important.  In 2023, I relaunched the brand with a new website and colorways.  I have  fallen in love with my hair all over again as I am teaching my daughter to love her hair, and everything else about her.
